Mian Shafaqat Jan heads the Litigation Section of KUNDI & KUNDI. He has served as Senior Advocate in KUNDI & KUNDI for several years now. Mr. Jan has focused on litigation and is vastly experienced in the field. He has been pleading litigation cases at the District courts, the High Courts, Federal Shariat Court, Federal Service Tribunal, Banking Tribunals, etc. He has conducted hundreds of cases comprising all forms of litigation proceedings before almost all forums/courts of law with the only exception of the Supreme Court. Mr. Jan specializes in conducting trials in both civil and criminal fields of law. His vast experience has enabled Mr. Jan to develop highly polished and critical litigation skills besides a sound and comprehensive knowledge base.
Mr. Shafaqat Jan has also been conducting Arbitration proceedings for different clients. He has also ably assisted Chief Justice (Retd) Abdul Karim Khan Kundi in many important Supreme Court cases and is fully familiar with the procedure of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
While he supervises all litigation work (except Supreme Court) at KUNDI & KUNDI, he also looks after the consultancy work of some clients, importantly including the National Highway Authority. Mian Shafaqat Jan regularly performs opinion/consultancy work, contract drafting and negotiations and legal documentation for national and international clients. He has also been involved in legislative drafting and has actively contributed to the NADRA (Pakistan Origin Card) Rules, 2001 framed under NADRA Ordinance, 2000 (VIII of 2000).
