M. Mumtaz Ali is an Associate Advocate at Kundi & Kundi and has been associated with its Litigation Section. After recently finishing his bar vocational course from London during his sabbatical from the firm, Mumtaz Ali resumed working in September 2005.
Mumtaz Ali’s experience relates to multiple areas of law having handled litigation in different courts and quasi judicial forums. He has been representing clients at all levels of civil jurisdiction except Supreme Court. However, he has closely worked with the Senior Advocate, Chief Justice (R) Abdul Karim Kundi, assisting in litigation before the apex court i.e. Supreme Court of Pakistan.
In the District Courts, Mumtaz Ali looks after firm’s litigation mostly pertaining to corporate and commercial law. He has been regularly appearing before specialized forums including banking and administrative tribunals. Arbitral proceedings under Pakistan Arbitration Act, 1940 also form an area of special focus for Mumtaz Ali.
Based on firm’s rotation policy, Mumtaz Ali’s services have also been availed of on the consultancy side and he has been providing legal consultancy services to various clients of the firm in the governmental and regulatory sector.
